I have gathered a few pictures of my two trips to Alaska in the past year. I never
thought that I would have any reason what so ever to go there but meeting my boyfriend
last January proved me wrong. He is a Staff Sargent in the Air Force stationed in Anchorage
and I took the opportunity to travel there last summer and in February of this year.
The first set of photos are from last summer. While I was there they had an Air Show called
Artic Thunder at Elmendorf Air Base. The Navy's Blue Angels were there and I got some amazing
shots of them being right on the flight line near the runway.
The next set of photos are from February. I was surprised that it is not as cold up there as
I thought it would be. But then I was told that they were having a very mild winter and the
10 inches of snow we got just after I got there was nothing compared to what they usually get.
